Drill Less Dentistry

We are now using the latest equipment and techniques that allow us to repair most cavities without using a drill. This is called air abrasion. It works by focusing a quiet stream of very small particles at the cavity. This stream removes the decay without the noise or vibration of the drill. In most cases this can be accomplished comfortable with no anesthetic.

Air abrasion is the state of the art in comfortably cavity removal today. Although it can not be used for teeth needing extensive restoration (inlays, crowns etc) or removal of old metal fillings, the air abrasion system is rapidly becoming more versatile and is extremely well suited for small to medium sized cavities.
